Whānau In-Home Learning
A free programme providing one-on-one in-home early learning and transition to school support for 3 to 5 year olds. Criteria applies.
Playgroups
WestREAP provides facilitated playgroups in Cobden, Greymouth, Hokitika, and Haast as well as providing support to other playgroups in our rohe/district.

Melody Makers
We provide Melody Makers music and movement sessions for tamariki aged 0-6 years in various playgroups and early learning centres.
Early Reading Together
A free, evidence-based Ministry of Education funded programme to promote literacy and language development in tamariki aged 0-6 years.
Supporting Parents Alongside Children's Education (Space)
A 20 week Parenting Place education programme for new parents of 0-4 month old babies. Programmes start February and July in Greymouth and in April for Hokitika.
Incredible Years Parenting Programme (IYPP)
An intensive 14 week parenting programme for parents of 3 to 8 year-olds. Starts July 2025 in Greymouth.
Transition to School
WestREAP provides transition to school kete packs and facilitates transition to school networks to promote positive transition experiences for children/tamariki starting kura.
Workshops and Seminars
Our experienced facilitators provide workshops and seminars on a range of topics including Te Whāriki, He Māpuna Te Tamaiti, Biculturalism in Early Learning Centres, Positive Parenting and much more.
Playdays
WestREAP usually offers two rural playdays in different locations each year. Playdays include a range of fun activities for tamariki aged 0-6 years including face-painting, bouncy castle, games and music. Please get in touch if your community is keen to host one.
