Clued Up Kids
The Clued Up Kids programme is actively supported and run by WestREAP in conjunction with the Westland Safer Community Coalition. The coalition is includes representatives from Westland District Council, NZ Fire Service, NZ Police, Department of internal Affairs, Accident Compensation Corporation, Community and Public health, WestREAP, West Coast Road Safety, and Poutini Waiora and more.
The inaugural Clue Up Kids ran at Cass Square in March 2017 and ran again recently at the Westland Boys Brigade in March 2021 with Year 5 & 6 students from Ross, Whataroa, Franz Josef Glacier, Fox Glacier , Kumara, Kaniere and Kokatahi-Kowhitirangi schools.
The purpose of this programme was to create a space where we can educate kids on how to be safe.
Thanks to Westland Safer Communities, Ag Safe Training, Land SAR, NZ Police, Community Public Health, Rail Safety, Animal Safety, Emergency Management, Fire Service and St Johns for making this a success!!
