Early Childhood

WestREAP supports educational programmes for children under six years old, their families and Early Childhood centres and groups.

We provide a range of programmes from shows to regular activities, day long workshops and short seminars. Check out What's On for Under Fives to find out about what's happening in your community.

We have books, educational material and equipment specially for supporting this age group and parents in our Resource Library.

Regular programmes held by our Early Childhood team are;

Melody Makers Music sessions in Hokitika and Cobden
Music and Movement sessions in playgroups and Early Childhood Centres
Early Literacy Programme - A programme that supports pre-reading skills for 3 1/2 to 5 year olds
Puna Kohungahunga - Playgroup for pre-schoolers with Maori perspective and incorporating te reo
Play Gym - Gymnastics for under fives
SPACE - Parenting Education Programme
