Careers EXPO

Every two years WestREAP organises and co-ordinates a Careers EXPO.

This gives West Coast school students (Years 7-13) and adults the chance to explore the various training options an support available to them. For young people especially, they will be able to see the importance of a focussed career path.

The latest EXPO was held from 20th to 22nd April 2010. at Shantytown, Greymouth. Approx 40 exhibtors took part in the event and over 1600 students had the opportunity to find our about careers that interested them.

WestREAP provides and arranges transport for outlying schools to attend the EXPO, and students from South Westland and Buller all have the opportunity to visit.

The EXPO is supported by Development West Coast, WestREAP, Buller REAP, Tai Poutini Polytechnic, NZ Careers and the West Coast Schools.
