About us

WestREAP was first established in 1982, and incorporated in 1991, to provide educational pathways for people of all ages throughout the Grey and Westland districts (from Punakaiki in the north, Jackson’s Bay in the south, and east to Otira).

Westland Rural Education Activities Programme Society Incorporated is controlled by a Governing Board, and day to day operations are supervised by the Manager.

The organisation is split into three sectors;

Each sector is lead by a Co-Ordinator with a team of staff responsible for delivering programmes to local communities.

WestREAP’s main office base is in Hokitika with a satellite office in Greymouth, and at any one time employs up to 35 staff.
