West Coast ACE Network
WestREAP is a member of the West Coast ACE Network.
The Network is made up of local ACE providers, that are mainly funded by the Tertiary Education Commission to provide Community Education. The Network works towards promoting adult learning and improving access for those who want to branch out with new interest, new skills and new knowledge. the ACE Network encourages and supports professional development for ACE members.
The Network has 3 core roles;
- To serve learners whose first learning experience was unsuccessful
- To assist those weeking pathways into tertiary learning
- To assist people who lack the literacy, language and numeracy skills for work and further study.
And 3 priorities;
- Engage learners who have not been well served by education in the pst
- Improve literacy language and numeracy skills for individuals and whanau
- Contribute to the overall cohesiveness of the community
