Community Networkers - South Westland and Grey Valley
WestREAP has developed an exciting new role that reflects its successful appraoch to developing collaborative models of partnership in rural communities.
In 2009, the outcomes of a study of WestREAP's outreach capacity supported the opportunity to further this cross sectorial way of working and we're now seeking a strategically focused liaison person who can develop, maintain and sustain networks with these communities. The position requires networking service delivery needs to WestREAP staff and / or other service providers and be a key conduit for initiatives and information flow.
The position has the following core competencies;
- community development focus
- excellent networking skills including a particular focus on relationship management with a wide range of stakeholders including community, agencies, provider, interest groups
- highly developed communication skills
- ability to work appropriately across ethnicities, ages and economic sector
This is a fixed term position, scoped at 15 hours per week (South Westland) and 8 hours per week (Grey Valley) and will operate during term time only for terms 2 & 3 2010. Depending on the success of the role, the position may be re-evaluated to a permanent position.
