West Coast Newcomers Network
As part of the nationwide New Zealand Newcomers Network, which is part of the Settling In Programme run by the Ministry of Social Development, WestREAP have employed a Newcomers Support Worker.
The role of the Newcomers Support Worker is assist anybody new to the Westland Community, whether they be from overseas or another part of New Zealand.
Support is offered to help newcomers settle into their new environment and make them feel at home. You may require assistance in;
- Making friends
- Accessing local services
- Finding activities and sports groups
- Generally settling in
