Education Participation Project

WestREAP are contracted to the Ministry of Education to Promote Participation in Early Childhood Education. The aim of the project is to encourage and support families into enrolling and attending quality Early Childhood Education.

The project includes the following three steps;

Finding the families, children and whanau who are not participating and assess the reasons for non-participation.
Address barriers to participation for whanau and family needs (eg: lack of information, lack of transport, etc) and;
Support families to visit and enroll into an Early Childhood Education Service that is best suited to their needs.
Encourage, support and ensure regular attendance at an Early Childhood Education Service.
