Children's Day 2010
The tenth Children’s Day was celebrated on Sunday 7th March.
We had fantastic activities for children happening at the Grey Aquatic Centre, Shantytown and the Regent Theatre.
WestREAP sponsored free entry to the Aquatic Centre between 10 – 2.30. Greymouth Mayor Tony Kokshoorn gave his time to help out on the hydroslide. T
Shantytown had free entry between 10 – 2 with a treasure hunt for families or individuals (depending on age). Free ice cream for those who completed it all successfully!
The Regent Theatre had a half price ticket film.
Cliff Sandrey Contracting Ltd provided a wonderful free bus service during the day to help families get to the different events and back.
Children's Day 2011
Planning is under way for more exciting activities for the Children's Day 2011. This will be held on Sunday 6th March 2011, and the theme is Love and Affection.
